Just want to compare a profile?

You do not need to complete every tool. Follow these three steps:

Complete and save your Dating Blueprint so the comparison knows what matters to you.

Open Match Lens and paste the other person’s profile after removing names, contact details, workplace and exact location.

Select what you want to compare, then review the apparent alignment, possible concerns, missing information and useful questions.

That is all you need for a quick comparison. For a better result, answer your Blueprint honestly and include enough of the other profile to provide context.

Detailed guide: getting the most from the test software

The tools work together, but you can use only the sections you need. Your Dating Blueprint is the foundation: it records your relationship goals, lifestyle preferences, values and practical considerations that may not appear in a public dating profile.

Match Lens compares the other person’s profile with that saved Blueprint. This is more useful than comparing two public bios alone because profiles often leave out important matters such as relationship pace, communication, distance, family, finances, travel and everyday lifestyle.

What the compatibility result means

The result is a structured second opinion, not a prediction. It can identify information that appears compatible, wording that deserves a closer look and important subjects that the profile does not answer.

Apparent alignment means the profile contains wording that agrees with something important in your Blueprint.

Possible friction means the profile may conflict with a stated preference or deal-breaker.

Unknown means the profile does not provide enough information to reach a responsible conclusion.

Questions worth exploring are conversation starters, not an interrogation list.

A high apparent-fit score does not prove honesty, chemistry, emotional availability or future behaviour. A lower score does not automatically mean two people should not meet. Use the result to decide what to notice and ask – not to hand your judgment to a number.

For the best results, use the complete process

1. Create your Dating Blueprint

Start by describing what fits your life now. Choose your relationship goal, preferred pace, lifestyle, travel preferences, communication style, important values and practical deal-breakers. Honest answers are more useful than answers that merely sound attractive.

2. Build or improve your dating profile

Profile Studio can create a new profile from your Blueprint or help revise an existing one. Select the dating platform, what you want changed, the tone and the preferred length. If you paste an existing profile, check that the revision preserves the details that make you distinctive – such as a real destination, daily routine, favourite activity or clear relationship intention.

3. Assess another profile with Match Lens

Paste an anonymized profile and select one or several areas to examine. Read the evidence, possible concerns and missing information separately. Profiles are introductions, not background checks, and people should be evaluated through respectful conversation and consistent behaviour over time.

4. Prepare for the date

Date Ready helps you think through the venue, clothing, conversation, transportation, accessibility, budget, personal disclosure and safety. Select every concern that applies so the plan responds to what is actually making you uncertain.

5. Strengthen confidence and handle rejection

Confidence is not believing that everyone will choose you. It is being able to show up honestly, communicate respectfully, keep your boundaries and recover when a connection does not continue. Use the Confidence and Rejection sections for a practical next step rather than a motivational speech.

6. Reflect after the date

After the date, record how safe, comfortable, heard and authentic you felt. Notice reciprocity, boundaries, lifestyle alignment, attraction and your energy afterwards. The goal is to ask whether you genuinely want to know this person better – not simply whether they appeared to like you.

How to get the most useful answer

Complete the Dating Blueprint before using Match Lens whenever possible.

Choose answers that describe your actual life, not your idealized future self.

Use specific profile details. ‘Portugal last spring’ is more informative than ‘I love adventure.’

Paste enough of the other profile to provide context, but remove identifying information.

Select all the Match Lens or Date Ready concerns that apply; each selection changes the guidance.

Treat missing information as something to explore, not something negative to assume.

Read generated profile wording aloud and remove anything you would never naturally say.

Pay more attention to consistent behaviour than to an attractive profile or a numerical score.

Privacy and respectful use

Dating information can be personal. Remove names, phone numbers, email addresses, workplaces, social-media accounts and exact locations before pasting another person’s profile. Do not use the tool to investigate, diagnose, shame or publicly judge someone.

In this test software, information is stored only in the current browser. Use Reset Test Software to remove the saved testing information. The permanent version will require a separate privacy policy explaining any account storage or outside processing before those features are introduced.

Who this dating toolkit is for

The toolkit is designed for adults of all ages, including people who are new to online dating, returning after a long relationship, dating after divorce or bereavement, or simply trying to make more thoughtful choices. It is not limited to one dating site or one age group.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the tool only to compare dating profiles?

Yes. Complete and save a short Dating Blueprint, then open Match Lens and paste the other person’s anonymized profile. You do not have to complete Date Ready, Confidence or Reflect unless you want those tools.

Does the other person need to use the tool?

No. The comparison uses your saved preferences and the wording in the anonymized profile you provide.

Is this a scientific compatibility test?

No. It is a guided profile comparison. It can organize visible information and highlight questions, but it cannot predict chemistry, honesty or relationship success.

Can it write or improve my dating profile?

Yes. Profile Studio can create a profile from your Dating Blueprint or revise an existing profile using your selected platform, task, tone and length.

Does it work with Match, OurTime, Hinge, Bumble and other dating sites?

Yes. The test software includes several popular dating platforms and an Other option. Platform selection can change the suggested profile format.

Is this only for younger people?

No. It is intended for adults of all ages and includes questions relevant to different life stages, relationship histories, living arrangements, mobility needs and dating goals.

Should I paste names or private information?

No. Remove identifying details before using Match Lens. A dating profile can be assessed without a person’s full name, workplace, contact information or exact location.

How does the testing version create its guidance?

The test software uses your selected answers, written information and programmed response rules to provide guidance. Its purpose is to help organize what you notice and the questions you may want to ask.

Where is my information saved?

During testing, information is saved in the browser being used. It is not intended as permanent storage, and Reset Test Software removes the saved testing information.

Help us improve the testing version

This is early test software. As you use it, please tell us whenever:

A question is confusing or difficult to answer.

An answer you need is missing.

Changing an option does not change the result.

Advice feels too general, repetitive or unrealistic.

An important detail disappears from a rewritten profile.

Something is difficult to use on a phone or tablet.

Your feedback will help determine what should be improved before a permanent website or payment system is built.
